Parvati is Shakti of female cosmic power who could appear in various forms from freight (Kali, Durga) to delight (Uma, Parvati). She is most depicted with her standing three bend (tribanga) posture with a lotus in her right end. Being the second consort of Shiva she is half-Shiva (Ardhanarishvara) and her marriage vow with Shiva is most frequently portrayed through sculpture. Along with Lakshmi (goddess of wealth and prosperity) and Saraswati (goddess of knowledge and learning), she forms the trinity of Hindu goddesses (Tridevi).
